The end of an era…

Thanks Lance! For the past 7 years no other professional athlete from the US has inspired so many of us to be better than what we think we are capable of more than Lance Armstrong has. Attacking the world of cycling after having beaten back cancer in 1999, he has systematically conquered the Tour de France for 7 consecutive years. Surpassing all of the greats; Bernard Hinault, Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Miguel Indurain among a host of others.

Today Lance retires as professional bicycle racer, and the country owes him a dept of gratitude for proving that even a cocky young man from Texas can do great things. Thanks Lance, see you around. More info on todays stage in Paris.

Side note: I’m so utterly happy I won’t have to see Bob Roll swatting about like a man being attacked by wasps as he attempts to communicate. Later Bob – ain’t gonna miss ya!
