I just picked this up the other day, and I started building it tonight with Donovan, and I have to say it is the most complex Lego I have built to date. It has 858 pieces, and I only got this far (about 1/2 way through the book) in 2 hours. Granted, it isn’t the most efficient way to build with a 4 year old as my wingman – but it is fun. He gets a kick out of it; since he gets to help Daddy – and I find extremely therapeutic.
I just renewed myself with the Lego club site, and I am thinking of joining the Brickmasters. The brickmaster is the pay side of the club, but you get a bit of bang for your buck. The coolest thing is the LEGO Digital Designer Software – so you can design your own creations, then print out instructions.
I have quite new collection of Legos growing, and I know what I want for Christmas this year already. So everyone listen up! I only want the Imperial Star Destroyer Ultimate Collectors set. That’s it. I know it’s expensive – but if everyone pitches in, I will be able to cough up the remainder.
So Donovan & I will finish up the Mars Rover tomorrow; I’ll let you know how it goes.
