Twenty dollar note with a Del Monte sticker printed over it...I’m not exactly sure how something like this happens… Wouldn’t you think that the Mints would have rules and safe guards against the goony operators eating food and the like around the presses? It’s pretty impressive that it happened.

What’s more, the fact that it recently sold at auction (eBay naturally) for $10,000. Here is a link to Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers where the note sold for $25,300! They more than doubled their money! Holy freakin’ cow! Here is some more info on it…

Crazy. Man, I wonder if the Mints do this crap on purpose – just to drive up interest and purchasing of bills from them? This sort of thing has to positively impact sales of proofs sets and such….
